Geometry and mesh
Use these guides to change where fluid and solids exist, place conditions on their surfaces, and check that the mesh preserves the features that matter.
- Set the computational domain around the relevant fluid paths and components.
- Add a cuboid component when an axis-aligned box is an adequate representation.
- Build an assembly from cuboids for enclosures, fins, plates, and channels.
- Add a CAD component from a STEP or STL file.
- Select a boundary region on the exterior domain or an insulating cuboid.
- Configure the mesh to control cell sizes, retain important geometry, and reduce unnecessary cells.
CAD voxelization explains how imported surfaces become solid cells and which geometric details the mesh can retain.
